Governance

Emerging Health Leaders (EHL) is governed by two national co-chairs. For 2008-2009, these co-chairs are the founders, Emily Gruenwoldt and Adrienne Hagen.

Each EHL node is governed by a local chair or (co-chairs). It is the responsibility of each chair to establish local governance arrangements, based on need. If you are interested in serving on the EHL executive in your jurisdiction, please contact the chair of your node.

Local chairs (or co-chairs) serve two-year, renewable terms, rotating on alternate years where two co-chairs are in place. The local chairs, in collaboration with the national co-chairs, are ultimately responsible for the direction of EHL, as supported by local membership.

The chairs will focus on developing appropriate strategic partnerships and alliances for the network to advance the mission and vision of EHL. The chairs will also lead promotional activities and events by participating as spokespeople for EHL at conferences, seminars, workshops, and other events.
