  • Co-chair: Stacy Greening is currently the director of community & rural planning for AHS. In this role Stacy leads a team that assesses the needs of local communities across the province and works with operational leaders to address those needs. Stacy has a background in planning, research, evaluation and quality. She has been a part of EHL since 2008 and part of the executive since 2009. (EHLEdmonton@emerginghealthleaders.ca)

  • Co-chair: Catriona Gano has been working in health care for over 10 years; first as a medical laboratory technologist, then as a quality consultant and currently as the executive associate for Rural Health Services in Covenant Health. Catriona is very passionate about quality in health care and is a certified Lean Black Belt. In addition to her role as co-chair for the Edmonton node of Emerging Health Leaders, Catriona also volunteers on the Eldercare Board of Directors. When Catriona is not busy working on her bachelors in health administration she loves to read, travel and scrapbook. (EHLEdmonton@emerginghealthleaders.ca)

  • Communications Coordinator: Chelsea Soebbing has a background in occupational therapy, participated in SEARCH Canada in 2009 and works with the Stroke Program, Edmonton for AHS in best practice implementation and education. She loves to learn something new everyday and wants others to do the same. Along with volunteering as the communications coordinator for EHL Edmonton, she facilitates a course at the University of Alberta, loves to travel, knit, and blog.

  • Communications Coordinator: Gavin Lam has a master’s of social work degree specialization in clinical practice from the University of Calgary. As a current practicing social worker in a hospital he is excited to be involved in EHL and to meet people while appreciating the multi-disciplinary approach of professionals in health care.   • Social Media Coordinator: Jennifer Pougnet has been an EHL member since 2008 and is excited about her new role as the social media coordinator on the EHL Executive for the Edmonton node. She has worked in a variety of areas within health care including health informatics on the implementation of the electronic medical record. Currently she is the executive associate in the Office of the Vice President of Infection Prevention & Control for Alberta Health Services. Jennifer has her master's of business administration and is pursuing her master's of public health with a focus on health policy development in the fall.

  • Membership Coordinator: Chris Carvalho is a senior project manager with Med Access and is currently responsible for implementing electronic medical records (EMRs) in various clinics across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Chris has been working in health care for 5 years and has spent most of his time in the consulting and project management area. Chris has been a member of EHL for 3 years and is in his 2nd term as a member of the executive team. He is very eager to work with such a skilled and motivated executive team and is excited for all of the opportunities that will be available to EHL members this year.

  • Mentorship Coordinator: Steve Kovacic is the director of occupational health and safety for Covenant Health. He is certified in environmental health, graduated from the University of Alberta with a bachelor’s of science in physiology, attained a postgraduate degree in environmental health and has completed his master's in business administration at the University of Alberta. Steve has worked in health care since 2005, and has experience in occupational health and safety for both the government and private sectors.

  • Events Coordinator: Kailey O’Neill is a graduate of the University of Guelph with an honours bachelor of applied science, gerontology. She currently works as the planning and research analyst for Alberta Continuing Care Association. As the events coordinator, she looks forward to meeting the emerging health leaders of Alberta through new educational and networking events. (EHLEdmEvents@gmail.com)

  • Co-chair: Alexandra Harris is a student in the combined MN/MHSc (Admin) at the University of Toronto. She works as a Registered Nurse at the University Health Network and is involved in research at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. Alex has always been interested in promoting interprofessional collaboration and sees EHL as a key vehicle to fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue and, ultimately, help emerging leaders come together to help affect system change.

  • Co-chair: Sharon Vanin is a graduate of Queen’s University and Osgoode Hall Law School, and is completing the MHSc Health Administration program at the University of Toronto. She works as a Consultant at the Ontario Hospital Association. With combined interests in law and healthcare, Sharon is eager to provide opportunities for emerging leaders to carve out their own unique career paths within our ever-evolving health care system.

  • Events Coordinator: Anubha Prashad recently graduated with an MBA from the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, and currently works as a Consultant for the Excellent Care for All Strategy, Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Anubha is very excited to be part of a peer network aimed to build the next generation of health care professionals from all sectors of health care. As an events coordinator, she is keen on working with emerging health leaders to create events that cater to their needs and narrow the leadership development gap that currently exists in a rapidly growing city of 177 health service providers serving around 1.14 million Ontarians.

  • Mentorship Coordinator: Erin Dragasevich currently works at PricewaterhouseCoopers, as a Senior Associate in their Health Care Consulting Practice. She has her Honours in Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business, and her Honours in Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. Erin feels that mentorship can greatly facilitate people’s career paths, and is excited to help EHL members connect with mentors.

  • Dana Chmelnitsky is on the planning committee for EHL and has been involved since its inception in Toronto. She currently works as a Special Projects Manager with Patient Care Programs at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute as well as has experience in healthcare consulting and the corporate sector. Dana holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a degree in Physical Therapy. Dana is very excited to contribute to the establishment of a new network that focuses on emerging leaders to foster their journey as a future leaders in the healthcar sector while leveraging her experience as a clinician, consultant and project manager in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

  • Communications Coordinator: Renee Mahalanobis recently graduated with an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and currently works at CancerCare Ontario as a Business Analyst for the Access to Care Program. Renee is excited to provide a communications platform for emerging health leaders to connect and be an ambassador for the EHL Toronto chapter.

Montréal node

    Ioli has a master of science degree in human genetics and a graduate diploma in management health care from McGill University. She is currently a project manager in neurotrauma focusing on spinal injuries and traumatic brain injuries at McGill University.    Ioli a complété une maîtrise en science de la génétique humaine et un Diplômé d'étude supérieur en gestion de la sante de l'Université McGill. Elle est chargée de projet en neurotraumatologie spécifique aux lésions médullaires et traumatismes cranio-cérébraux de l'Université McGill.

  • Events coordinator/Coordinatrice des évènements: Jessica Rubin
    Jessica has a bachelor of science degree with a minor in business management from Mcgill University. She is currently working as a technical account manager at IsaiX Technologies Inc., a technology company that specializes in training and development initiatives for the pharmaceutical and health care industry.    Jessica possède une licence en sciences avec une option en gestion des affaires de l'Université McGill. Elle est actuellement gestionnaire de compte technique pour IsaiX Technologies Inc., une entreprise spécialisée en formation et développement de projets pour les industries pharmaceutiques et de santé.

  • Events coordinator/Coordinatrice des évènements: Debra Heilpern
    Debra has a bachelor of physiology from McGill University and is currently working as research coordinator for several clinical gastroenterological studies at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal.    Debra possède une licence en physiologie de l'Université McGill. Elle est actuellement coordinatrice de recherche pour plusieurs études cliniques en gastro-entérologie à l'Hôpital Général Juif de Montréal.

  • Communications coordinator/Coordinatrice des communications: Rebecca Burns
    Rebecca has a master's in health administration from the University of Montreal and currently is working as a Communications Coordinator at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).    Rebecca possède un maitrise en administration de la santé de l'Université de Montréal. Elle est actuellement coordinatrice des communications pour le Centre Universitaire de Santé McGill.
