Speed Mentoring
Tuesday, April 27, 2010, 5-7 p.m.
Faculty Club, University of Alberta
You’ve likely heard several stories about speed dating. All you have to do is watch TV, turn on the radio, or go online to hear someone’s experience with this new method of meeting that “special someone”. Undoubtedly you’ve also been told numerous times how important mentor relationships are in terms of helping you navigate your career and aid you in making critical professional decisions. So what better way to stay relevant and encourage professional growth than to bring together the concept of speed dating and mentorship into one incredible event? And that is exactly what we did. In partnership with the Canadian College of Health Service Executives (CCHSE) we were able to put together a speed mentoring event to bring together senior leaders with emerging leaders to encourage the development of mentorship relationships.
