Mentorship

In addition to offering members opportunities to learn, share, and network with each other, Emerging Health Leaders is dedicated to providing its membership with opportunities to foster relationships and learn from health system leaders..

Using mixed methods of formal and informal programs, events, and tools, EHL will promote its "Fostering Connections" program with a goal to facilitate mentoring and coaching relationships between senior and emerging health system leaders (both currently within and entering the health system).

Fostering Connections focuses not only on conventional mentoring programs, but also on ways to broker relationships between people who would not otherwise come together or learn from each other.

Listening to EHL Members: Mentorship Programs

In March 2008, EHL held a focus group to learn what type of "mentorship" relationships or programs our members would most welcome. The feedback was vast and varied and will certainly help to lay the groundwork for an appropriate mentorship program. The broader EHL membership was also given the opportunity to provide feedback electronically.
